Hi, I’m Sam—founder of The Grove Collective.
I’ve spent the past 10+ years working with neurodivergent children and their families in homes, schools, and community settings. My background is in psychology and human services, and my approach is relationship-based, strengths-focused, and practical.
I’ve worked as a behavioural interventionist, a class lead, a team trainer, and a support worker—and through it all, what’s stuck with me is how important it is to really see the child in front of you. Not just their behaviour, but their communication, their environment, their energy. That’s where the work begins.
I’m not here to "fix" kids. I’m here to support them, and the people who love them, with tools that make daily life feel more doable and less overwhelming.
Outside of work, I’m usually surrounded by pets, making something with my hands, or out walking. I don’t have a farm (yet), but the dream is to build a space where kids can connect with animals, nature, and themselves through play and learning.
The Grove Collective is my way of weaving all of this together—supporting children and families with care, humour, creativity, and a little bit of nature-based magic whenever possible.
My Background
I hold a degree in Psychology with a specialization in child development, and I have extensive experience working with children in various settings as a Behavioural Interventionalist. My journey began with a interest in understanding the complexities of young minds and finding effective ways to support their growth. Over the years, I have worked closely with children, families, and educators, gaining invaluable insights into the challenges and triumphs of managing behavioral issues.
Why Choose The Grove Collective?
Because every family deserves support that feels doable, respectful, and rooted in understanding. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions—I believe in listening, adapting, and offering real-world tools you can use today.
